Born from helping new players enter the game
I’m Maurice, also known as Morisander. I started Software Dungeon to make the first steps easier for new players at my table. Spells, items, rules, and table aids kept ending up scattered across notes, screenshots, folders, and half-finished print files.
Tabletop Asset Creator is the first desktop app from that work: a way to turn preparation into cards and handouts that players can read, hold, and actually use at the table.

Which operating systems are supported?
The desktop beta is available for Windows and Linux.
Do I need AI to make cards?
No. Card editing, library management and printing are included in your membership. You can use your own artwork. All optional AI features need your own OpenAI API key, with usage billed separately by OpenAI.
What happens when my membership ends?
Your access to the app ends when your membership expires. Your files and libraries are kept.
Can I use the cards commercially?
Personal use is available to all patrons. Commercial products using Software Dungeon assets require Merchant or Dungeon Master membership and must meet the content use policy limits. You are responsible for rights to your own and third-party content.

How do I get the app after joining?
Join Creator or a higher membership on Patreon. Download the current beta build through your Patreon access, install the app and sign in with Patreon inside it.
Is the beta finished?
The card editor, local libraries, image generation and exports are usable now. Onboarding, AI intake and Phone Companion are still evolving. Support for virtual tabletops (VTTs) is in progress. Feedback from your sessions helps prioritize the next improvements.
